Hey guys,

I am considering getting a set of kahalani 200's to set up on my evo. However a friend said that if I did so, I would get a huge amount of rail bight. I am just wondering if anyone has ever Owned/ridden a evo with kahalani's, and if so, was the board to low and experience rail bite, or did it ride fine?

Depends on what sized wheels you plan on riding your evo on. I put Original S10 trucks with 75mm wheels on my evo for fun and i don't get railbites. And those that knows Original trucks knows that they're turny as hell.
tell your friend hes a retard and doesnt know shit...
kahalani will be great on the evo,put some 75mm wheels on and ride. ive got a set on a glyde runing venom bushings green on the bottom and red on top and otang in heat wheels rides like a dream. jacko is right your mate is a retard and doesnt know shit.
You did the right thing by asking in our fine forum for advise from someone with experience, not just an opinion.
A lot of people say Kahas should be top mounted, they slide alot when dropped. They are already a very low set of trucks.
They definitely needed bigger wheels when I mounted them on a CLB, which has a similar drop to the Evo.
You could get wheelbite but you will possibly get rail bite too.
You can always use risers.
ive seen many boards with kahalanis, drop boards, drop-thru, top monts, evos, all that sort... and all of them worked fine enough to race in world cup races.
its not your trucks that slide, its your wheels and your weight distribution that causes a slide
Just set up some Kali with venom bushings. Total change for the better, rips even more now. Go venoms with kalahani worth the 30 bucks

What Im saying is when the board is dropped you have less traction. Top mounted you have the most. As the riding platform of an Evo has a 2 inch drop with Kahas you have a low baseplate to kingpin pivot point. The bottom of the board is in fact pretty low in relation to the pivot point of the kingpin.
Maybe people DO race them like that. Sure , go ahead and mount them on an Evo. Put them on anything you want. I certainly didnt hate them on the CLB, but,... I had to put on big wheels so the board had some clearance.
It was a bit of a scraper.
