A friend of mine made a set of gumballs cook to the point it errupted like a heinous zit bursting.
Molten thane blistered out after he was buttboarding and didn't even crack 70km/h. This was a common problem with Krypto's but my doubts lie with his bearings.
He claimes the bearings were fine but he used to roll em till they'd seize before he'd ever replace them.
The centre seemed to melt and boil while the outside maintained a solid state.

ive destroyed many many wheels... ive got about 4 or 5 sets of rainskates yellow jackets that are severely square and small, also many sets of o-tangs (many of which have been recycled by the lathe and ready to thrash again) i have broken a set of grizzleys (old run) at newtons, bent the shit out of both axles in a really heavy crash into forest's elbow, ive had a bearing seize up while riding the bottom section of mt keira and melted the bearing hub and most of the inside of my wheel (while riding) ive had my sector 9 board run over by a car and almost snapped in two (just bolted two chunks of wood to it so it wouldnt snap, rode it for a further 4 years then cut it down eventually) ive shredded many pairs of gloves, shoes and kneepads while doing sliding, and exploded many bushings from 'over-use'
thats all i can think of right now... anything else ive destroyed would be skin on my body or my leathers

I think it was Boyd who had the flattest flat-spotted wheels. They were so flat they couldn't roll at all. There's a photo somewhere of the board on the ground and it looks Dali-esque; like the wheels have begun melting into the road.

i have broken the core clean out of a wheel

had my bearing fall apart

had my bearing seize up

cracked a helmet

cracked the hanger and bent the axels on my trucks

thats about it

i wish i got a photo of my gear after my crash, destoyed my wheels, henry king showed them to me as i was laying on the road, the wheel was completely torn off the bearing and apparently the board snapped in half...surprisingly the bearings on that wheel appeared in tact...

bearings take a lot of abuse, people dont give them much credit, its only dirt and lack of lube that kills em.

Had a front axle break while doing a slide to stop. Watched the wheel bounce away. Felt like getting a flat tyre, lucky I wasn't standing when it went. Threw the rear ones away after that.
