This one has been a long time in the building.
Ever since I saw the Invader I wanted one. My dream deck, but didn't like it's dimensions. I have big feet and a wide stance.
Solution, Glyde.
After talking to Pete and Ash at last years Newtons we came to an agreement and midway through this year I decided to go ahead.

The deck wasn't the only part of the dream though. After buying some Kaha copies which had bent axles that had M8 axle nuts?! What the? I had the framework to make something really nice.
Out with the bent axles and off to the workshop. After reshaping the hangers with full radiused edges I filed the deep scratches out then rebored the hanger ends ready to helicoil stainless steel threads. The aluminium used is strong but not enough for Fitz. Once the helicoils were fitted the hanger could now accept Radikal axles making the width variable. At 1/4" wide axles(minimum) it now sits at 213mm wide.
Next I machined out the bush seat on both sides to accept Stims. The greatest bush ever invented!
Reshaping was nice but not nice enough so I polished the crap out of them until I could see my face in em.
Specs are:
42"x10.5"
31" 32.5" 33.5" 35" WB
All carbon (no glass) Bamboo and Foam core.
To top it off I fitted Ceramic Buitins and tied it all together with 316 stainless hardware.
An unopened pack of Edger grip tape has been in my collection for a couple of years now waiting for something worthy. It's finally arrived!
