You're the one with the S9 bamboos right? They should slide really well if broken in. Try going a bit faster; it may be scary, but you feel in control and they should slide pretty quickly. From what I have heard, Retro Freerides are better at high speeds than low speeds, so maybe Otang freerides are better for you with that considered. Though...the yellow ones look so intense on Hellcats.

it only takes 3 or 4 decent pendies to break in a set of wheels mate. leeso said:dont bag the gumballs we rode em for years..
gumballs were great, until newer better wheels became available (ie bigzigs right through to the freerides). i tried my old gumballs a few weeks ago after slashing around on my durians and i nearly vomited. they seem to do tiny hops through the entire slide. wheel design has come a long way since then.
I have a set of durians. And i use then for the exact same purpose. sliding and dh. i weigh about the same as u and i have been riding them hard almost continuously for at least 4 months, i coned them 3 or 4 times. The good thing about them is once u rotate them they are unconed after a hard days riding. I still got alot of skating left in them and they are getting quieter. Also wen i slide them at speed my gloves are much louder than the durians. I LOVE THEM!!
well if thats the case then your durians are gonna last you a very long time. have you looked into the stimulus. they might suit you a bit better cos they slide out a lot easier on slower stuff than the durians do.
Your problem is probably that you can't get enough speed. It is VERY hard to do a pendy on completely flat ground. You need slope for speed, and to continue the slide.
Is Warrnambool in northern Vic?
Awsome. How many runs do you do b4 rotating?
