Skate Board race in conjunction with the Upwey Billy Cart Races.

250mtr course with bales.

Race format to be confirmed.

Down hill race - (beginner friendly) 4 person heats?

Possible 101 cone challenge?

Possible longboard GS event.

will need helpers for race organisation.

Comment by Hambo on February 8, 2013 at 22:40: The course does not have good grip and probably not good enough for a tight slalom but I enjoyed last years Grand Slalom racing. It's a matter of controlling your line and traction to get the most pace through the turns. I think quite a few of the racers last year were on freeride setups which drifted too wide, the best times were set by riders with slalom or downhill wheels and trucks which had more turn at the front and less at the back. Too much turn at the back meant some riders were flicking out the tail and losing the racing line.

The course was a good challenge and I think a return to the same format would see a few riders coming back and improving.

Is it to slippery for a slalom race?

Is it steep enough for a slide comp?

Would anyone be interested in a biggest air comp at the local skate park?
