Maryhill Festival of Speed

Event Details

Event Description

The Maryhill Festival of Speed has been moved to the first week of July and will now kick off the 2010 season. Our hope is that this new date will help those who are in school to have an easier time attending the event. Maryhill is famous for it’s incredible sweeping turns and perfect pavement. For the last two years it’s had the most competitors of any IGSA race. 166 downhill skateboarders raced in 2009. The event will also begin 10 days after the Vernon DH North American Championships so those who are traveling from overseas will have the opportunity to attend both races.

I just don't want to turn up and not be able to race. I'd rather not go than to not race.

I haven't got a confirmation yet. I've registered and printed out a receipt. I bought my ticket ages ago. I had other plans in Seattle but some last minute changes allowed me to be at maryhill. Guess I'll just wait for an email. Where do you see that there are still spots left?

did you get a comfirmation email,,,did you pay?? it says there are still spots but if you havent got your shit sorted now its gonna be tough the race is in 3 weeks so gonna cost a bit to get flights....if youve booked your flights and paid for the race then print your receipt and turn up.....

So... Anybody know if registration is full? I've been trying to contact the organizer but i'm not getting any reply. I was able to register so does that mean I've got a place?

Last year I hit up Cathlamet downhill corral which is just out of Portland, just before Mary Hill. I could not recommend this race enough and I believe they are adding a new, surprise hill to it this year. You will be in the area and like Hugh said, lofts are easy to get.

This race had the best vibes. The townsfolk are so stoked and so happy for us to be there (un-like mary hill) they are awesomely welcoming and fun and will always try there hardest to help you out. Not to mention the organiser Judy Edmondson who is a champion and will help you out by lending you tents and sleeping bags and all sorts.
