just out of couriosity, for those younger ones, would it be viable for a few of us folk over 18's to be responsible for them on the night? i am asking because my brother is thinking of coming down with me and he is under 18.

Almost any board with wheels that are not harder than say 85, and not smaller than 62mm will be fine.  Drop decks are too low for the roll in. Boards longer than a paddlepop with a bit of flex also add to enjoyment.

We will be setting a slalom course and running a timer. 

Times will be sent to Bugs for 2011 ditch rankings.

The only trophies handed out will be your grins.

Lets hope the water is gone by then, but then it is Melbourne, so bring a boogie board just incase!

Hi Bernie I skated with my son and some friends on Saturday at the ditch,some residual water run off about 50mtrs from takeoff but still very rideable. we are interested in attending on the 13th, maybe more so to watch than anything.

What sought of set up would you use at Springy for GS as far as boards are concerned.

Over 18's can look after themselves!
