Everyone knows start ramps were made entirely as an elevated stage for pre-race sledging to entertain the watchers!  Well done Bugs, very Jedi of you.

However I have fallen into the tempting trap of over trash talking, missing the start by a good second or more in Canberra last year, as Haggy rolled down the ramp while I was delivering the punchline. Doh!

If the award is for bastardry then I should get it for trash talking Nathan on the start ramp, suggesting that he not think about DQing, whereupon he DQed and I Bradburyed through to the semis.

Great to get back on a board! Many thanks to PC and Boyd..Robbo and Bugs for the timing..and Ross and Boyd for showing that skating hard core is well and truly possible 'post 50'...in the ditch and through cones!!

thanks to all who made the journey, sometimes a long distance or a very long travel time, pc for a huge effort on ramps, courses, prizes, trophies,  to asra for cover and tech support and advice, and making it a very competitive race , millsie for the t's, ryan and neil for the bbq all the cone counters and fetchers without whom a slalom race cannot happen, shadow for winning, imi for scaring the life out of me jumping off a board while heading towards a fence, great riding today imi, all the people who waited and supported, arran pratt for beating me not having been on a board for months, event went well over both races and was a good start to more endorsed races here on the coast!

I think I have to apologise to Baeden Pettersson, who came 3rd in the Grom Division, but the prize went to Macca (his brother?) instead. Sorry Baeden - it was a mistake. Maybe you can steal it back from Macca when he isn't looking.
