hahahahahahaha

My mate hade a Commodore and he snapped it in half. (they must all be shit)

I hear the ford is good for downhill and a bit of sliding but its a bitch to get back up the hill.

Both work well at Bathurst though.

I dont have a licence and cant drive but i realy think you should get a Ferrari or lambo. All the fast guys are using them so they must be the best.

Have you thought of looking in the trading post as lots of cheep second hand ones there.

Get a audi they r best for skids

We have a forester and it's totally awesome. But it's a later model. 2010
We also have a falcon ute. 2002 model. If you want a bit older car I'd stick to a ford the parts are cheap and if you have a good mechanic it will go for ever with few costs. But the falcon can be quite thirst on fuel. If your able to shell out for a newer model. Say 2010 or newer I'd go the outback or a forester cheaper on fuel, better handelling on windy hills.
I know that's where you will want to drive it.

i actually own a forrester! its not a newer one its a 99 but it does the job, epic skate wagon.

i'll swap you my forrester for your one? will throw in some stickers...

Get a Datto 120Y!

Jacko,

Depending on how much do you have to spend.

Budget Wagons

Circa $3000  - $6000

1992 - 1998 V6 VP-VS Commodore wagon - drive well, 9-10 L/100 on a run, roomy for sleeping, cheap parts, useful power, will go almost anywhere a new 4x4 will be driven, look for "seriesII" badge, and less than 160,000k.
(still wish I had my ugly old VP!)

Falcon Wagon with all alloy 6 cylinder - drive well, 10-11 L/100 on a run, roomy for sleeping, cheap parts, great power, will go almost anywhere a new 4x4 will be driven, excellent on gas.  One of the best straight 6 motors ever built.

Toyota Camry V6 1998-2002 wagon, quick, reliable, and cheap to run, front wheel drive is fun on twisty gravel roads, and good for well over 300,000ks if serviced.
Note at around150,000k will need new cam belt, and if it has not been changed, drop $1500 off price.

Subaru, had a liberty wagon with a  3.0L flat 6, bit more expensive, but great driving car.

New Wagons

Commodore, Subaru, Ford mondeo. VW

or under 5 years old.

Same as new wagons,

Plus last of the big Ford wagons (if you can get one) or VW passat R36 or diesel.

All good, easy to live with, and good service networks.

Smaller 4cyl jap wagons, last of the Mitsubishi Lancer or Corolla wagons are good.

try a 4 cylinder entelechis with some munkae dual suspension and some ceramic super swiss turbo
