when you get wobbles tranfer your weight to your front foot and move your feet forward if u have to, if thats not working for ya u have to fix ya truck set up
like andrew said, dont place your foot over your back truck, keep your foot over the front and move your back foot forward. i had the same problem with my old board, plus heed merrick's advice. and relax!
when you say you have a dropdown deck, you don't mean that dodgy board you get off ebay do you? cos that thing is worse than a C11 scriber when it comes to speed.

it does come down to the rider's skill and experience, but its always gonna be harder to bomb a hill at speed on a carving board with carving trucks and soft bushings than it is on a proper downhill board with trucks set-up for speed. i mean its definitely not impossible, just much harder.
Death wobbles or crazy speed wobbles is all in mind. Just relax and keep most of your weight over the front of the board. I find that I’m more stable in my tuck and if you do get a wobble don’t panic, or do a superman dive of the board because they can be ridden out. As I said it’s a mind game.
Righto, let me just give my 2 cents.
I've had wobs towing a motorcyle at 120km/h and once they kick in hard you are at the mercy of the DH gods.
Firstly, wtf are you doing bombing with soft bushes?
If you're just starting out, stick with med range bushes like red or yellow Khiro's. Adjust your kingpin/bushes to suit the kind of terrain you plan on doing. Once you get practice tuning your truck to suit you'll be able to hit everything. This takes experience and can't be read in a forum.
If the back of your board angles up, you can expect a steady diet of eating shit trying to bomb hills. This goes the same wedging the rear, fat side of the riser, in. Wedge riser on back, fat side out will make your board more stable or better yet use a R1 DH baseplate on rear.
Lean to footbrake with your rear foot to control speed before wobs hit. Next you need to learn to emergency safety slide to stop once you start losing it. Coleman slide is best.
These guys have all the DH advice you need. Check out the safety tips they have.
Oh yeah, if you do have a angled up tail put 2 risers on the back to make the baseplate flat with the actual platform of the deck. This is called dewedging. It cancels out the angle making your rig more stable.
Here's a quick guide.
Some great advice Mark from someone who has been skating for 3 months and only had his first high speed crash last weekend....... to bitchy?

You answered your own question...... soft bushings. Go harder.
