ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

OK folks, we're back after just a three-day break. The ASRA team has landed in Bathurst, and despite advance warnings of how cold it is we've still been surprised - it's brutally cold. My first task here was to buy some fingerless gloves and a very attractive hat:

Once suitably warmed we got settled into our luxury digs before heading out for some twilight mini-ramp action at the festival site. It's a 6' ramp, so more of a maxi-mini really, and it took its toll with Trav and Haggy taking some hard slams.

A blurry Trav heads for the coping, while Haggy, Blackwood, Pete and the Van of Love look on

Yes, it was cold up there. Bring your woolies. See you tomorrow. Rider check-in starts at midday at the Flannery Skillset Centre.

Classic final: Yatesy and Grits get tangled in the esses before the Dipper, and Mike English roars into the front and stays there, waving to the cameras all the way down. Frank Williams can't catch him.

But will there be a protest???

In the last run of the women's Gemma crashed at Forest, got up, and ran to get her board, but in doing so ran into Maga's path and Maga smashed straight into her, and Gemma flew into the air. Maga seems OK, and I think Gemma is too, but she came out of it worse than Maga.

should have included the g bikes gettn bored seein same thing all the time.

OKKKKKK, street luge final is about to get underway:

Graham Brittain
Nick Duffield
David Dean
Abdil Mahdzan

My money is on Duff.

David Dean takes it...Duff was close all the way, but maybe too close to him to get a run up, stuck inches behind him all the way down Conrod.

Mischo wins Newton's Nation!!!!!

He pushed out in 4th, while Dalua did his big mongo push out into 1st, with James K and Dillon taking the two middle spots. Mischo came smoking through the Dipper and split neatly between Dillon and James to go into 2nd before Forest, and then hunted and passed Dalua down Conrod (probably the only guy capable of catching Dalua down Conrod). Dalua got back into Mischo's draft but ran out of track before he could pass.

And it's over!!!!!

1 Mischo Erban
2 Douglas Silva
3 Dillon Stephens
4 James Kelly
5 Alex Tongue
6 Christoph Batt
7 Louis Pilloni
8 Mikael "kula" Jensen
9 Torbjørn Sunde
10 Rob Mcwhinnie

I'm packing up now...so thanks for listening folks!!!

See ya.

Looking at the footage you can see Mischo's tuck is slightly better.

Dalua's head sits higher and can be seen from behind.

Mischo's was buried down deep cutting the air with just the hump of his back highest point.

will there be videos of each heat? i know it was done 2 years ago

Thanks ASRA, and all that made this possible.

Great Weekend.

Well done and thankyou to the ASRA crew Bugs ,Haggy , Blackwood and ALL

The live feed and race updates were brilliant - thanks ASRA, Bugs, your helpers and crew, the riders and sponsors. A great and enjoyable production, well done.
