skating before bathurst
looking at going over east about a week before newtons to skate some runs over there. Just wondering if any crew are going to be skating , where they're gonna be, and where would be a good place to stay.

bathurst is my home town, skating the mount is as good a reason for catching up with the olds as any, dont worry about traffic , once at the top you can see cars coming from k's away, hit us up anytime and will make the mish, a place to stay included

ther will definately be some rollin goin on before bathurst,maybe a full on road trip,skating the best n,s,w has to offer,im taking aweek plus before newtons to go and newtons will be our last stop,aussie alps probably!

yeh sweet brodie,youll no doubt see and hear about all the finer details as we get closer to the date,nothin has been planned just yet but its easy for us guys in n.s.w,ill just get in my car with a few crew and go with the flow,its only the snow keepin us away,id say by november ill be keen for alpine speed fix anyway,so yeh well organise somthin by then..skate some other radness along the way

come stay at my pad dude, i think i will have a party house the week before bathurst... it seems to be central to most of the good NSW spots...
and rob, sorry buddy but no skating MT panorama EVER.... unless its at the race. Its just one of those things man, now its a big serious competition the hill can NOT be skated untill it is closed off and we are given permission, or it has the potential to fuck it for everyone. Anyone who is caught skating the hill before Newtons can potentially be un-welcomed at the race...

For anyone watching this let me confirm that the following words from Jacko are all absolutely true. There will be DH sessions running all around sydney in the month prior to the event. If any DH occurs on the mountain it would be very bad for our event, our relations with council and our sway with the residents, it also has the potential to create bad media publicity for ASRA, our event and our scene. If anyone is seen or heard of running the hill prior to the event your rego will be canceled, your money will not be refunded and you may be banned from competing in the next years event. So enjoy all the DH greater sydney has to offer but steer clear of the mountain until race time.

with a step back and a bit of thought that seems pretty fair. Wherever we skate we should all be looking at the impact it has and ensuring it doesn't create any (or too much) adverse publicity...it would be nice to think we are close to not having to worry but that will be a way off yet. A small price to pay for being at the pointy end of what is still a young sport.
