Getting into DH lately but not sure on what board and set up to get. I need one that can handle a lot of speed and can do predrifts heaps easily!
Any recommendations?

while i do ride an evo and a earthwing mystery model and love both of them to death i would check out a belly racer from earthwing or a super model, both are sick boards and are friendly to the pocket
If you have the money, buy from local board brands (Australian made). Such as: Daddow
Glyde
Skatement
Early
They are the Australian mainstream brands, but, there are a lot of quality local made board makers introducing themselves into the community.
For trucks you need to start out on something preferably low angled. I have 10.0″ Double Barrel 2.o Downhill Truck (42°) and love them when it comes to downhill for their stability you can get out of them. They're reasonably expansive for a cast truck, but their setting you up for when you buy precision trucks.
The harder bushings you have the more stable your board will be at higher speeds. This doesn't mean you can move around your board at 70+ kmh and expect your board to resist wobbles. I use Venom DH Barrel bushings and they're great for dh.
When it comes to wheels you would want something fast and grippy. I'm using Nersh Money Hax because I want something considerably fast and grips to most surfaces of road and these do just that. But there are also some very, very good wheels, such as Cult Traction Beams, Cult Gamma Rays, Cult Death Ray, Cult Dominator, Abec 11 Zig Zags, Abec 11 Centrax, Abec 11 Big Zigs and the list goes on.. But not to forget the Australian made wheels; Early Skateboards make a good range of wheels.
Sorry if I made any errors or mistakes or left any important things out, it's late and i'm tired but not keen on sleeping. Hope this helps you out with choosing a setup.
