The relationship resulted in a wheel that performs greater and also adds a new stylish fashion to skate wheels. Roo Wheels Australia is in the process of building a solid foundation over the next 12 months, with the manufacturing and distributing of their wheels as well as the continued design of boards and other future projects. This will ensure the product(s) are second to none. Roo Wheels are also environmentally friendly, aluminum can be recycled and urethane can be replaced instead of disposing of the whole item.

cool bud, looks like your getting some of those questions answered. its not just for me though, there is a huge market out there for longboard wheels and its something that every skater would be asking, some might not know how to word it propperly some might not even know they need to ask those questions but they are valid ones. people want to know EXACTLY what the go is when a new wheel comes out.

As for testing, im fine. I already ride the best wheels available (in my opinion) and have not much desire to try anything else out, but there are a few names i would mention that would be able to put your wheels through the proper longboarding test and see if they are the real deal or not.

Like mike said, it would be a good idea to have all your info, website, FAQs and proper details readily available before you release these wheels, just so folks dont have to do the to-and-fro action like whats going on here!

Either way, good job, get some awesome Ozzie brand wheels happening, if they are good im sure there will be plenty of crew here willing to get a set!

hey jacko what wheels do you use and why? just so i can do a comparason tar

THANKYOU TO THE ASRA COMMUNITY!!!

I would be awesome to see an Aussie wheel brand come up. I know in Europe the DTC wheels (which for those of you don't know have an alo core and if you send the wheel back once you have killed it they will re thane it for you for about half the price of a new wheel) were getting REALLY good feedback and we were seeing more and more people riding them each and every race. Slides were meant to be good and so was grip. Never tried em myself though, I didn't like the colour!

People are getting pretty wary I think Aaron because we have so many choices to make as it is when it comes to gear. When I first started riding downhill there were a few companies to choose from, everyone knew everyone and what input each company and person behind the company put into the scene. Now it seems that the market is swamped with new brands, gimmicks, faces and promises of revolutionary new designs everyday which is exactly what killed street skating . People with enough money making half assed products because they see that they can make a quick buck by taking advantage of a rapidly growing activity. I think it's awesome that people are so wary of new products and people. It shows that longboarders have a respect for the brands they have been supporting over the past umpteen years and brands that they know have done their part to promote and evolve the scene.

You also sound like an infomercial dude that South Park is ripping on when you type. I picture you with a big cheesy grin on your face, pearly white teeth a suit and tie and a contract for me to sign. Maybe you really are that awesome and friendly but I have to say, overly happy people make me nervous... Like mormons, or Meg Griffins creepy friend from the cult on Stewie's birthday! Yea, like her!

hey dani. if all goes well we will be able to offer "in house" re-thane. Our wheels are very similar to DTC and i suppose they are the "competition".. i do beleive our wheels stand up to dtc and will give them a run for there money.

you are right people are pretty weary (for good reason) with so many new brands racing to fill the void...but none made in australia for aussie conditions.definately dont wanna be half assed!! longboarders really do have a great respect for their gear, i can only hope to gain trust in a tight knit communtiy..

as for being an infomercial guy hahah. i can see why you get that inpression..i am 27yrs old i love skateboarding(my shins, elbows and knees are proof) i would stay out all night just to find that perfect rail or a nice bit of new concrete carpark to roll down, i am a very positive person and i meditate...all of this may be irrellevant im just trying to be as professional as i can, whilst giving the correct info.. i hope this reply helps and if you buy now you get a free set of stake knives

cheers azz

but i will never lie, the truth is much more fun. and with roo wheels i really feel the product and want as many ppl to try it as i can....

From Jacko:

I ride Sector 9 wheels, and when racing a newly formed company which will be released late janurary called RAD wheels (Rider Approved Designs) and i ride them because they are far better than most wheels ive tried in terms of wear patters, smooth slides, grip through turns, roll speed and how they react in racing situations...

Pairs of wheels....?

Good luck to you mate. It's sweet to see some aussie gear being developed... but i'm not sold. The way you are describing the wear characteristics... well to be frank it just sounds like you don't know what you are talking about.

I would really suggest doing EXTENSIVE testing with a handful of aussie (longboard) shredders, because the way a wheel is ridden in a race situation, or even when being free ridden is very different to bowl or street skating. I know this has already been bought up and all. I would just hate to see a product put on the market that just isn't ready... some one would get badly hurt and I'm sure that is the last thing you would want.

In any case i hope i am wrong and your wheels are sick as fuck. It's certainly an interesting concept that has already been shown to work.

All the best mate.

hey dude,

totally understand what your saying ian and i thank you , i am building my working knowledge everyday coming from a streetskating background the differences between are sizable. aslo learning more and more about exactly how they are manufactured to give clear concise answeres, i am new to this company and im here to learn

cheers mate
