yeah ive given them a go, and heard a lot about them. as far as stability goes they are un-real... but as far as maneuverability goes they are not as flash as most trucks out there on the market... and as the way the sport is developing and the styles are changing and the competition is rising, the need for these sorts of trucks are quickly diminishing
Thanks Ben. I'm just finishing another custom order, differant internal construction though.
2xfull lengthx 5mm stringers, connecting deck to bottom, plus 2 x full length x 5mm resin stringers. H100 foam core with drop through's wood boxed. Bottom glassed with 225g csm plus one layer of standard weave carbon. Top glassed with 2 layers of standard weave carbon, and 2 layers of "Twill" carbon.
I've pulled the tail of the working pan in by an inch, compared to the photo's which are up, and the front and back are a more "rounded" shape. Only half as thick in the front and back drop through's, as the strength is coming from the glass, and not as critical for the foam to be as thick.
The customer is a big guy, and wanted to reduce flex, so we went with extra carbon with the "cross weave laminate" to maximise stiffness and keep weight down. Deck has to be trimed, but is approx 1.1kg at this stage. Extra carbon has made it more expensive though. I'll put some pics up over the next few days.
it looks like you might get hanger bite with loose trucks from that photo... the board looks pretty thick. whats the clearance for the hangers for low but loose trucks?
