Setting up a board might be a little bit more expensive depending on what you get but you get to choose exactly what you want
So if you have the cash choose your set up

thanks for your reply evan. However for beginners who do not know anything about wheels trucks bearings and stuff.. getting a complete is easier right?

@tuure pineapple. its not because im lazy. its just that i dont know what to choose how am i know what is supposed to match with what? if i know what im getting i would add the price and compare..

i know complete overseas is cheaper but the shipping price matters too right? what overseas websites do u recommend to buy completes?

im thinking of freeride i guess. freeride is like versatile and can be used in any styles right?

dont mind my questions and stuff because i haven started longboarding but have been researching..

Alot of the time it is cheaper to just buy the complete, this will save you the hassel of setting it up

aswell as alot of sites give you risers bots shockpads and that free when you buy a complete, and some have small discounts on wheels, trucks and bearings

if you are new get a complete second hand off the marketplace, otherwise the hopkin website lets you make a complete for cheaper than the parts alone and you can choose trucks/bearings/wheels etc

@jacob i see cheers for replying! anyways what websites do u recommend? and getting overseas might be cheaper right. but most of the price of completes are usually 200-300plus with shipping its quite ex right?

@bozac yea im trying to get a complete 2nd hand but its kinda difficult to find haha. alright thanks i shall check out hopkins!

If your a beginner look at some board reviews on you tube
And choose the one that you think that would best suit you, also if you have some friends that skate or a local skate shop, have a feel of there board

Also have a look at www.daddiesboardshop.com

www.socalskateshop.com

www.motionboardshop.com

www.stokedskateboards.com

yer you can can alot of sick setups for under 300 shipped just depends on what type of board you want

for me i got a compelte from overseas now when i buy new stuff its usually single sets of wheels/trucks/deck and that and i would get it off an australian store like boardshop or hopkin its a tad more expensive but it comes usually within 3 days

but alot of times if you wait 1-2 weeks a good 2nd hand setup will come along on the marketplace for under $250 depending on where you live

thanks alot guys. btw @evan i do look at youtube videos and damn there are alot of nice boards out there im spoilt for choice! but the price matters to me. cause i dont feel the need to spend so much on my first board as its natural to really damage your first board right?

thanks @jacob for the links. there are too many websites online selling boards haha. my budget is around 150 but its kinda low right? yea probably i will wait! no rush i guess but i cant wait to learn!

yer well you might get lucky ive seen compeltes for 200 before on the marketplace

@tuure earthwings i think are sold out i cant find them in the website! the supermodel i guess im interested in shapes like that. http://www.earthwingskates.com/products/decks-a-completes/supermode...

btw what is the name of such shaped boards? is it called drop through or drop deck?
