Just buy them off ado at cre8ive skate or hopkin when they come in. So much easier. Or go to clark rubber and get that shit that wears out in like 2 days

Its not hard to cut up car tire, just time consuming. Get a safety cutter (the kind with the snap off blades) and use that to cut the rubber from the belts. Start off by just cutting into the tire to get to the belts then start slicing where the rubber joins the rest of the tire. As you get further in you can start to pull the rubber away from the rest of the tire to make cutting easier (stand on the tire with one foot, pull up the rubber with one hand then cut with the other). Once you get into a rhythm it ain't hard, just make sure you keep using a sharp blade (i.e keep snapping them off when they get blunt). Hope that helps.

there are countless numbers of threads on this topic...use the damn search bar

+1 to connor's comment. Unless you have help of several friends and a weekend to waste- for 10 bucks you can get a uniform racing sole from ado shipped.

it doesnt take very long at all if you do it properly... get a stanley, trace it around on the bottom of the tread on two sides, until you hear it is cutting steel. draw a line across the tire. get a mate a chisel hammer and vice grips. get the chisel in to start peeling off the thread then back it with a hammer. once there is enough thread for the vice grips to get a hold of, get it secured to the tire you are trying to strip off then get your mate to pull. took me and my dad 30mins to strip an entire tire

Or! Get a old worn out racing slick! Then you don't need to deal with the wire and you can just cut it up and stick it on your shoe.

im not sure about a mechanic having a old racing slick but a go cart place would definitely have some.
