Everything i have got from aldi seems to be up to high standards for a fraction of the cost. Wouldn't race in them, but the would be worth the $70
the way I see it, we dont feel like we need motor bike quality protection on our heads (we dont use moto helmets) so why do we need moto quality on our legs.  cheap is good!

big call mate, jamming murrays in jeans and pads is different then hauling at 90+k bro....minor skin loss becomes skin, flesh and bone loss,...pretty sure my draggins are moto quality and skateboarding destroyed them, and it was mainly one crash.

these jeans need testing, get a set and see how they hold up......be the test pilot

yea benny good point

i was thinking of using them more along the lines of sub 80 and for fast freeride, ie 50-60..

leathers are donned at 75+ for me.. unless its straightline

They deffinately would just be a more durable substitute for jeans, but i reckon they would hold up at least twice as long as my jeans, which would make them worth it. I'll be checking them out for sure

Mainly thought that it would be good for groms whose mums are sick of them trashing their pants when skating. Or even the groms at heart.

Saves carrying around a set of knee pads as well.

Never mentioned about using them for speed or to replace leathers!

kevlar jeans are no substitute for knee pads though, there is a time and place for both.

fair call benny I'll pay that. I just dont think its worth writing them off before checking them out. they gotta be better than the two pairs for $3 jeans that Ive been skating in this winter, lol. I will be buying a set, so if you would like some feed back on them just ask me.
was anyone able to score a set of these?? my local shop only got the nylon style riding pants. and I didnt have time to go anywhere else cause Im doing 12h shifts atm.
The ones I had a look at were pretty thin, not worth the money.  I think stick to jeans until you can get some really good ones!
yeah, wait till you can afford the extra $30 and buy some draggins you kooks.
woah WOAH, draggins are only $100? from where?!

also the aldis i went to said they aint stockin the kevlar jeans at all! bunch of derps
