I have almost everything sorted but im tossing up between 4.3 and 5.0 Bennett. My back truck is a randal 125 and a lot of silverfish threads recommend a 4.3 and a 106 tracker. With my 125 randal would i need the 5.0 or 4.3? Or will it not make a major difference with the 4.3 still better at acceleration and 5.0 having a better top speed? I'm really just worried about whether the size ratio will make a major difference.

thats quite the set up craig!

Craig, Robbo has a lot of knowledge, but he likes tighter trucks than most sane individuals. I reckon you should consider softer bushings on the front - you might even have to go to a Khiro white, which sucks for rebound, but is uber soft and makes pumping uber easy, especially at slower speeds.

You'll never know until you try...

78a bushings on a wedged bennett is plenty soft. Whats not sane about that? If you put white khiro bushings in a bennett you remove all feeling out of the truck.
Yeah Robbo, what you say makes perfect sense if you weigh 120kg.
78a only works for 120kg dudes? Nobody has bought a white khiro from my shop in over 2 years. You must be the only person rocking that setup. I don't know how you skate on your board with 75a at the front and your own special concrete mixed with steel concoction you ride in the back, thats way too hard for me.
I never use washers for a bennett, the rattle is impossible to get rid of and I don't like the idea of putting metal where urethane should be. I have however on a number of occasions used an old JimZ bushing and sanded it down to about 5mm, like some sort of urethane washer, then just put the normal bushing in, works sweet.
Thats the ticket, any bushing will do. I tended to use a JimZ as its enormously wide
I cut an old bushing up with a sharp knife to give me the extra height for Bennett board side.
Im 110kg ran some white Bones Hardcore front, Yellow doh doh rear today on some ACS 500 on a Axe1 felt great. Think the Hardcore are 78/80ish ?
Soft hardcore are 81a, Doh Doh yellow are 90a. Sounds about right

Craig,

Bennett "tall" barrells are app 20.3mm

Most other barrels are    app  16.5mm

So you can make up the diff with flat wshers,

a wafer thin, sliver of a hardish bushing,

or get some 3 or 3.5mm uhmw from a butchers supply shop/plastic supply shop and make a washer/packer.

With the ratlling metal washers,

i make my own non rattlers by buying smaller id washers, say 5/16 id,

then dremmel/lap them out to near 3/8 (app 9.3mm),

I know your gonna say 3/8 is more near 9.5mm but make it undersize then its tight on the kp and wont move.

No noise.

I still have a shaved Jim z bushing from you robbo, I can give it to you Craig if I find it. I found reflex barrels are a bit taller than venom and need less washers. I agree use a bushing if possible though to add rebound
