i got 84a abec 11 freerides, would it of been better to get 78a?

classic thane is at its best around 78a and 81a.

it still works on 84a just not as easily, i think the 84a suits what i need cause it will slide easier than the 78a but it is not too hard that it will slide out on corners or slight carving

Instead of Durians I'd advise using the 86a Stimulus, they slide like butter, and dont wear so quickly. even though they are smaller they have a smaller chance of getting flatspots since they will be rotating faster compared to bigger wheels.

and the freerides can only be compared to an extent. the Classic thane 84a freerides Slide better than any other wheel i've ever ridden BUT the downside is classic thane wheels tend to die quickly... but i think it's worth the buy still.

 

so just think of it as  86a stims with a buttery slide + last longer  against 84a Classic thane freerides with a Super Butter slide, fat thane lines, and Quick wear.

cheers steven but yea i have already bought them so can't change now, i probably wouldn't need long lasting ones because i go for a skate sesh twice or three times a month which won't wear them down very fast.........and max i haven't got them i was just saying that it will still leave a thane line compared to 81a and 78a

yeah man. was watching a guy outside my house this arvo with 77mm 81a's and hes painted my street. he said 72mm 84a where down really easily even riding and sliding a couple times a month. he also said it depends on how long your slides are.
