The new marketplace

Due to popular demand, the marketplace forum has been replaced with a new marketplace that is not a forum but a purpose-built place for buying and selling.

The old marketplace forum is still there, and people can still respond to the old discussions there, but new ads should be placed on the new marketplace. 

There's a "Marketplace" link in the horizontal menu at the top of the page, and a box in the right-most column showing the last 10 ads.

The new marketplace has a few bugs, but we hope to iron them out over the coming weeks. Let us know what you think.

I mean like people have email accounts that they sign everything up to and never check then use a different email for personal stuff. I guess you could just change it so the emails from here goes to the one you read... Haha nah but over all its a great idea... I used to always be in the marketplace now i almost never open it. Was that the whole point of making a new one? To keep annoying smelly grommets out haha

Cents, I don't think sellers will have to answer the same questions over again, and if they do it'll only be because they didn't include necessary information in their ad.

Connor, as for email being inconvenient because people's inboxes are swamped...stop subscribing to millions of emails from ASRA/Facebook etc., and if you want all those emails, use email filters to organise your inbox.

Jordan, so far a couple of people say they haven't been able to receive emails from the marketplace - I have no idea why at this stage.

If you want to be really smart just make a new email specifically for dealing with ASRA stuff.
Point of it was to keep the forums free of trades so they could be used for actual discussion again without WTS and WTB ads being bumped and pushing down any real topics of discussion to the bottom of the page.

any update on Iphone access, mine goes to the old forum only. any suggestions, hints or tips

 Its most likely your email client or account junking it. Pat was trying to list 3 different items yesterday and could not get an email. He then changed the email on the listing to my email address and presto they arrive immediately. I confirmed the items for him than he just edited his email back in to the listing. He was using a Hotmail account where as mine is a paid fastmail account.

It works fine on the iphone. Like a lot of features of the website to use them on an iphone or any other mobile device for that matter you need to view the normal website rather than the moblie version. You can do this by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page that says "view regular version of this page". The default moblie version only allows you the access the Latest activity, My page, Members, and Forum. To access everything else you need to view the page as the normal version, not the mobile version.

well it worked fine with gmail on my computer, didn't go to junk or anything weird. maybe on phones it might open in a new window so check that out as well

i dont know whats up, but im still not getting the email. i contacted bugs and put his email address down when filling out the ad form but there was still no email being sent.
