If they get wet, dry them in the shade or hte leather will crack.
I hear about this leather conditioner stuff that makes it soft again.

Just air it out, and wear something under like skins(tm) or something

ps leather patches/panels i want some? any ideas on where to look apart form lincraft?

Wearing skins is a big help in soaking up "some" of the sweat, but in hot weather they will stink regardless.

Dilute some disinfectant in some water and wash your leathers, especially the inside, using a rag.  You don't have to drown them, but a good wash is still needed. Lightly wash the outside, and let them hang in the shade to dry.

You can buy leather conditioner to apply to your leathers, and I get mine from "Mr Minute", the small key cutting franchises you see in most shopping malls. They usually carry leather treatments and spray colours as well. and it's not that expensive. They also carry leather cleaner, in small bottles, with two small bottles being enough to clean a whole set of leathers. Get two cotton balls, wet them with the cleaner, and wipe over your leathers. This gets rid of about 95% of all your marks, etc.

You can normally find leather workers/manufacturers in your area, just look in the yellow pages, to get patches.

Hope this helps.

NEVER Dry Clean Leather Absolutely NEVER. the solvents can distort and in some cases stretch and shrink various areas. I had a great set of Kushitani One piece suit for Drag and Circuit racing and thought I was doing the right thing but ended up just about ruining my prized leather's before an elderly saddler gent who I knew advised me to place them out in the sun hanging on the cloths line and get them nice and warm rub in some Gee-Why Leather dressing to soften the leather up, then turn them inside out and simply allow them to air out 24 hrs someplace warm and dry but well ventilated. Then turn them back the right way and polish off the Leather dressing previously applied, I ended up with supple well fitting and sweat free leather's once again.

If your leather's get real wet then get stuck into them with a soft towel and leather balsum or Gee-Why Leather dressing that will essentially drive the moisture out, and prevent the mopisture from making the leather stiff and dry once it starts to dry out.

Clean and polish your leathers just like you would your shoes, (if you wear Leather Shoes or Boots, instead of these horrid synthetic things the Chinese make nowadays. Oh I wouldn't necessarily use use Dubbin, while it is used as a great waterproofing agent it can rot stitching. IMHO some of the BEST Leather care products are made by the Waproo group notably The Joseph Luddy Leather care range like Zorbel and Jay-El  I hope this has shed some light on the subject.
