any deck, maybe a tan tien or a vandetta
with paris, randal, bear trucks.
otang stims, zombie hawgz, abec11 freeride?

take your pick
yeh thanks for he advice...would an evo be any good or just useless?
not uselss, sliding is possible on everyboard just on a evo is more difficult when its dry because you cant really get all your weight over the front truck. Although when the ground is wet, after rain, its extremely easy to slide on an evo with all your weight centered. My brother rides an evo with inheats and cant do a slide bigger then 10 degrees when its dry and falls off when it rains. Im sure people can do colemem and predrifts on evos? hence why they are used for downhill but technical dh i dont know.
so, what would you guys recomend as a good board to begin sliding on. What about a demonseed?
I have the vamdetta and just started longboarding not to long ago.
First slide i learnt is the 180 standing.
Randal 180s 50 degrees.
Purple Stims
The shorter the wheel length the easier it is apparently.
Any board you can get your feet over the trucks, even normal skate board, use slide gloves and wear your helmet and you'll be fine.
throw your upper body into it and learn on wet roads - use shit bearings
first slide u should learn is with your hands... not standing up
you should not learn in the rain to start with, it will be harder to get used to the dry
shorter wheelbases do not make it easier to slide
any board you can be between the trucks (preferably drop-thru) is better to learn the breaking point of wheels, right over the trucks give you the most traction
dont use shit bearings
demonseed is a good board for a bit of everything, stable for bombin and super low so u can rock it mega loose for freeriding and be solid. only problem is it can feel a bit heavy. otherwise get a vendetta, they rule...
or wait for the sector 9 drop-thru

i like the looks of this, anyone had any experience with it?
many many people have had plenty of experience with this board and it is highly rated. i think its right up your alley. it would be the first board i would point you in the direction in for the style of riding u want to learn

Yer the Vendetta is great i just got mine and it is an awesome freeride board and wouold be great to learn sliding on, go with bears, paris, or randals with stims, or zombies or something like that, they would be good for learning how to slide, and then if u wnt to get into light bombing the vendetta is great to start out on!
