well i just started to do a bit more sliding and i found that my homemade glovers from bunnings were really loose around the wrist... so i decided totry and build a strap into the wrist part.
materials:Velcro, Araldite, homemade slide gloves and scissors

so i started by cutting the little stitched part of the cuff like this:

then i cut along the cuff a little bit:

then i cut a little diagonal thing so it pulled under the other part instead of folding:

checked the tightness and fit:

cut the velcro strips:

and then glued on the velcro:

ill post up a pic of them on my wrist when the glue dries better probably in the morning
feel free to add suggestions criticism and better ideas or different materials that would work

Make sure you restich the sides where you unpicked it otherwise they'll continue to rip up the seam, happend to me once with leather pope gloves despite the restich.
Also, you may want to look a making bigger pucks, just a thought.
ok thanks for the tip ill restitch after the glues dries and about the pucks i know there really small.. ill get some bigger ones wen i have some money oneday
I use identical gloves. Did the same but the cuff straps over the other way. Worked fine except that it's hard to get glue to bond well to that material, so the velcro tends to detach easily. Let us know how the araldite goes. I'd have thought it would be too brittle.
Great thing about these gloves is the retroreflective hi-vis strip for night skating.

Yes the hi vis strip is good.... another problem i came across was that the cuff was flared for the workers hand o move around in more and by pulling that it would kinda twist the whole glove around but but i think by cutting alittle strip down both sides it minimises the twisting
hers a picture with the strap titened up on my hand its still a little loose but way better than before :)

wow that puck is tiny haha
i know bogan corian sample people... i need bigger ones

i had gloves like those.. i kept the cuffs off the ground with duct tape.. and more tape and more.. and now my gloves are more tape than anything else =]
nice that was what i did before this i used insulation tape around the cuff and my thumb
so i have been riding these for about a week now and so far the velcro is holding up exceptionally well and it hasn't slipped or pulled off the glove. It is way better than the flared cuff and the araldite is holding up way better than i thought it would
