Ya that bit's weak. I wasn't planning on leaving carbon at the wheel wells but it looked nice so i kept it there. It's not really sealed onto the board. There are air pockets. I'm thinking of filling it in with some epoxy. We'll see. I haven't really taken this board out yet. Uni exams coming up.
fendy, what about those wheel cutouts, wouldnt it start to delam there, because its got those big air pockets?????
plus, does the carbon bend in that spot when you push on it????
i will try that next time. Thanks Ian & Carl. This is only my 2nd time glassing. I was told by the people at the glassing shop that I won't need to lay down a final coat after sanding. I think I shoulda but i couldn't be bothered. I wanted to ride it asap!
fair enough dude! yeah my voodoo xl got a bit of a 'soggy' feeling flex after a while. glass or cf would help with longevity of the stiffness heaps.
also has anyone else had any delam issues with comet boards? 1st voodoo got hella bad delam so it was replaced, now the 2nd one is starting to as well. pretty bummed cause i love it.
