road rash
i have quite alot of road rash on me at the moment. so i was wondering what is the best way for it to heal. or is it best to just leave it alone and wait for it to go away?

i just left mine, but the best way to get it out that i have experienced, is to go for a swim after the scab heals up. beach is best, but pool seems ok too. after a while they just peel off really easily and painlessly.
Im absolutely sure that this is not the best way, and probably does some harm somewhere along the way, but it works great for me

don't let it scab. It'll hurt like a bitch when it does cause you'll be moving and constantly cracking it... That's from my experience at least.
Wash it, apply some sort of antiseptic cream on it (just a light layer) and put a non stick bandage on it (or tegedrem, second skin etc). You want to keep it as moist as possible. It'll get gooey but you want that.

put some antisepctic ointment on the wound for a few days before you bandage it up, use betadine, it doesnt sting and then repeat for a few days and after a week or so make a trip to the beach cus i found saltwater helps it heal real good. it will sting a bit but its worth it in the end cus you wont have the wound for as long ;)

yer. i have been putting on detol. and it stings like a bitch, so i got mum to go to the chemist and she got some shit called medipulv. its kinda like a powdery shit. so ill see how htat works

wow are you guys serious dont let it scab. Do you even know what scabbing it does scabbing is the bit that allows the actual wound to heal properly it is like a protective shield so just get warm salt water dab that on to keep it nice and clean and let it get lots of air. You will be fine it will clear up pretty soon!
