Speaking of which, I read somewhere that you are signed up for the push race at Cathlamet - pretty much in the bag hey buddy..! Clearing a spot on the shelf for the trophy..? - After all, you are the king of the long distance push. - Ha! No pressure!

In other news, i just posted up a new vid and its rad. People are already diggin' it and I'm stoked. - Should see some of the skating thats been going down... - Blackwood has been ripping.
Anyway, if you get a chance check the vid. Called it Brother man.
- Should also mention that Blackwood is the proud owner of a half pipe in his back yard. Its mad. So sick. When you get home we will have to get together with the squad and have a BBQ and a few beers round his joint. - What do you reckon?

Hey mate! - Sorry don't check my page that much so i only just spied your msg. How things? I've been meaning to try and contact you and check how you settled in over there. You been shredding the concrete? Or too busy making millions..? Haa ha!

Anyway, about the knee... i joined Jacko and Blackwood for a roll in Seaforth, over the north side. Hit up a corner session on a rough, but nice little right hand bend... first run and bam! - Slid out and ended up hitting my knee cap on the edge of the gutter. Knee Pad pulled down. It was terrible.

I had skated the spot with Jacko and Luca the weekend before, the only problem was this time i was on a new set up and i just didn't take that into consideration (Evo + Smokies + worn out O'tangs). From there it was a trip to Manly Hospital and then on to recovery mode. Otherwise known as time on the couch. Sucked big time.
Still cant skate now and it happened ages ago. I don't reckon i'll be on the board for a long time. Bought some huge knee pads which cost as much as a nice deck ($250) to try and get some confidence back but its the little things like footbreaking and sliding that put heaps of pressure on it. Tried to skate the other day and didn't get further than the driveway! Just going to have to be patient.

Anyway, have to get back to me and let me know how you are going and when you will be back for a visit... i'll get you to bring some JimZ trucks back for me!

Hey Jon, Im flying into Seattle in August. Will probably make my way to Vancouver and then head to the race from there. Thats all I have really planned so far.

(Sorry man meant to post this here. posted it in the squad page earlier this arvo). - JB i've got an old street deck... i'd be happy to lend it to you. - Reason being, if you build up enough confidence to push that thing around into a 180 then you can try and translate that to your longboard.

Progression comes with confidence i reckon. - You have a nice style, you can foot break at good speed and you are stable on a board (You can out push me anyday!) and i reckon once you can get your longboard to slide 180 then you will go from there. Nothing better than surfing concrete. Pump, pump... aim - fire!

That was the first big challenge for me on a longboard. Took it to a carpark and just kept trying to get the back wheels to slide... then i started getting the front wheels to slide (4 wheel drift)... then i repeated the process heelside. - I'd suggest wearing those gloves you made on a regular basis.. and take that nice watch off! I found that out that the hard way. Fell hard, slapped my wrist on the ground... Time to buy a new watch.
