btw im not sure what paris trucks your friend has but they will probably be too wide. the 125's are wayy wide as it is, i only bought them so that i could get the plates for a dh board.
125 Randals with assorted Venom and Khiro bushings. 70mm 4Prez. 42 plate back, 50 front. The end up about 55 and 35 after wedging.
Are you looking for a slalom setup.
Btw what condish are the Paris trucks your friend has? he hasn't answered my last message..
i used the VIO POV.1 fully intergrated cam, got it from http://www.launchhelmetcams.com/fully-integrated/pov1
the price is going up coz of the ozzie dollar i got it for $900
Not sure as of yet, arrive in Adelaide Friday. Skating on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Maybe Tuesday, not sure what day im coming back here yet. Keen to hit Eagle as often as possible (been so long since i have ridden it) so keep an eye out here and I will post up when I know. Russ and I may be going to Eagle Friday arvo when I arrive so maybe that would be the go a chilled afternoon sesh. Probably get into town about 1 or 2 and skate it till it's dark.
Yea dude, the middle section is virtually straight, you dont have to brake or break your tuck the whole way through then it goes into flat so you just ride off your speed and trot your way back to the top.
Im not talking about doing the whole thing, probably just the middle section. I was capable on a board when I first started riding Eagle with these dudes. It was a whole different type of skating for me though. I had only skated Sector 9's off the shelf. No helmets, gloves, leathers, pads or anything like that but the middle section is fairly simple. Compare yourself to someone like Russell. He has only been skating a couple of months and he does the middle section so if you think your fairly even with him then go for it. Only one way to get better and build up your skills and thats by pushing the limits a little bit more each time.
Dude, nothing that good. the camera fucked itself for some reason and i only got pics with the phone. I won't upload coz its nothing special. A really nice smooth bit down below, I don't know how to get there. The bit at the end of dashowood is bad. But this bit down the bottom is really smooth and no lines down the middle. I'd lke to see the end of it (northern side) coz you couldnt see where it came from in my view. But according to google maps it goes longer.
there is nothing as good as venoms at the moment. khiros are crap in comparison.
and just to clarify, you want "Venom Downhill Bushings" as opposed to "Venom Standard" or "Venom Super Carve".
well because of your board and due to the fact your a big guy, i'd go half green, half red in venoms. i have an Evo and i'd be a lot lighter than you, so i use softer than recommended bushings (Red) on my Evo.
so i think the green and red mix would work quite well for you. stable at speed, but still carvy.
just remember, its different for everyone. it comes down to personal preference, weight and board set-up. just because someone might really love what they ride, doesn't mean you will love it too.
thats cool dude. thats what longboarding is all about.
having problems with my computer atm, so can't put anything up. also i don't tend to upload footage every session, cos i like to make montage/compilation videos. but once i sought out the computer i'll throw something basic up for ya.
