so pretty much I've been teaching longboarding for the past couple of months now and i get the odd natural kid who just is pure natural at riding a board. Justin is aged 11 and lives in melbourne, he had never been on a skateboard/longboard before or even thought about it. The amazing thing is justin is blind, he has no sight at all. From what i heard before i meet him justin has been to many schools because he was bullied about being visually impaired and that he had always wanted to try being on a skateboard/longboard.

The cool thing about him even though everyone told him he couldnt do things just because he is visually impaired, he still has confidence in himself to try new things. a thing i remember him saying was " this is the most fun ive had in a long time", which would truly make anyone happy. if anyone would like to offer justin something for longboarding that would be sweet (his family cannot afford much)ive already chucked in a helmet and gloves and knee pads for him so any help is great-fully needed.

so this isnt a long write about, i just wanted everyone to about this awesome kid.

thanks jason t

That kid is a champ! He deserves the sick gear he's getting!
For the fundraiser thingymebob, i could organise another Hill Climb event in Noosa with some of the crew if interested? I was thinking about creating another meet, and this seems like a nice cause!

Thanks Grits for putting up the pics. Paul (from Norfin Boards) did the drop throughs using his templates he uses for the Mantas and it really sat the board low on the Chargers. It turns quite nicely but seems stable and centred.

Here's hoping it gets to you before the weekend.

Elliot, if you do another Noosa event, can you include Street luge and Butt board? The crew can help with the organisation and on the day.

hey just spoke to jimmy at hemleys, he is sending a shirt and something along those lines down to justin, he is also keen to get on board with a slopestyle contest and post event screening of the short film i am doing on justin to raise some cash for him.

Jason,

it rides quite nicely, but the drop throughs were to make it as low as possible for him as you suggested that low was what he needed.

Cheers

I am thinking that we might have to combine butt-board and street-luge, however it does depend on the turn out.
What do you think Sue?
BTW Ado, that board is sick as and you are a great guy for donating that to Justin

BTW so far the date for the Hill Climb event is Sunday 23 May. Everyone good with that?

Hi Elliot, I am a noobee so I would need to ask Ado or Sakamoto or Craig or Tyler for their opinion. But I think if it is a free ride for butt board and street luge then it isn't a problem to combine them. I would be keen to pitch in and help with the organisation and the day. Whatever you need. :)
