I beams are only strong if the force is applied directly parallel with the middle beam They are insanely weak if force is put adjacently across the middle beam. Also the force isn't applied directly downwards, unless you run 90 degree trucks :S..... killer truck non the less!!! Now triangles, there is an idea for a strong truck!

well the crew that were rocking the bent ones were jumping off a lot of stuff here and there, and still shredding on them

Axles can bend without the hanger bending.
Don't forget that everything has changed in every truck design, but you still have an 8mm axle. If they go cheap on the axle material quality they will always bend.

it was the hangers that were bent, axles were straight (except pat's they were fucked)

wow!
I bought a bent set of kaha' copies, (nearly identical hanger), after I replaced the axles they were straight as again.
Bummer for Aero Corp. Ha!
Who's gonna want bent hangers after spending big bucks! Hello Chaput Fyre's. Ouch!!!

a bent axle would affect what??
my guess, since ive never had one, would be that it would put uneven wear on the wheels, and this would, in turn, affect the traction, as the bearings are not parallel with the ground, thus only the inner lip has full contact with the road.
another thing that could happen would be that the trucks want to turn wrong. this would happen if one of the sides was bent more than the other, which would make the truck turn just to get on the ground.....

i took this to silverfish, and this is what i got...

me:
have any of you guys had problems with bent hangers due to the holes in them????
a guy i know said that all the k2s he saw at euro tour had bent hangers.....

some guy with aeras:
the underside of the hangars have an intended sorta wave to them but the axel edge is straight I haven't had any problems

the trucks have holes but its like a truss bridge I'd imagine they would be just as strong as solid trucks, and I think kevin is going to start selling them out of an even stronger aluminum in the near future

I think they have a guarantee that if you bend or break them during skating kevin will replace them, if you crash them though , you're out of luck. I think kevin skated them pretty hard in testing them and made sure they could withstand a lot of punishment

K-Rimes:
That, is 100% incorrect. What your friend was seeing is what Sterling just described. The hangers have a shape to them that may make it appear to be bent. I have been riding THE SAME SET OF PROTOTYPES that I received in early May and have ridden them as hard as I can which included GIGANTIC airs, probably 50 sets of fresh wheels I've slid in, tons of freeriding, GETTING RUN OVER BY A CAR (my board broke, my trucks are straight), and just general abuse.

I am guaranteeing all of the hangers against bending, so, even if you were to somehow bend them, I would replace them. That said, I do not cover intentional abuse, getting run over by cars, crashing, etc.

( i think im still going to get them :))
