Benbro, i already do appreciate them
Everyday.
Ill be up for my second set of pucks as soon as someone has more sector 9 gloves in stock. ps - is there such thing as getting industrial grade velcro on the glove? the other day my puck ripped off in a slide and i dont blame it on the pucks velcro.
Best pucks ever, other pucks just dont compare at all to these
They are definately worth the money, I would pay like 40 bucks for these
They dont just last long but they also slide really smoothly as well, so just everyone needs to buy them
they rock. seriously. rock solid. minimal wear.
i go for the thicker pucks as it keeps my fingers away from the ground. also i think the diameter option is great, as you can bust out the little ones for minimal friction while racing and then slap on some chunkies to try and destroy while freeriding and doing lots of crazy slides
yep Slippery Dips ARE the best and worth every penny. not only are they the best, long lasting pucks available, but they are Aussie made! need i say more?
nothing else compares to slippery dips,.the other brands just arent even close to value for money...still amazes me how they can last so long with minimal wear..
not hard to realise it must be some ridiculously expensive material....
hey robert, never heard of pucks''grippin'' before,..the pucks you have are the bomb,u will soon appreciate the radness.
and yes,a good puck with plenty of clearance WILL improve your sliding.
Oliver and myself have now been producing these pucks for around 10 months. It all started when we got sick of chopping board melting away and there didn't seem to be any good Australian made pucks available. We did a bit of research and testing and came across some stuff that was pretty epic. We made a couple sets of pucks and started using them and were really amazed at how good they seemed to be. So we thought, hey perhaps we could start selling a few sets of these. We came up with the name and logo and started getting the word out, mostly here on ASRA. As people began to use these pucks, we started to get quite a bit of really positive feedback. Oliver and myself were so massively stoked that people were liking Slippery Dips.
We've now got loads of legends using our pucks all over Australia, and there are even a couple sets sliding around NZ. Right from the start we wanted to make these pucks top value for money, and so have been selling all sizes for the bargain price of $26 per set which includes postage Australia wide. To continue to sell them at this price just wouldn't be worth it for us, as the materials are expensive and there is quite a bit of labour involved to produce them. Coming into the new year we thought would be a good time to make some changes, hence the price thing happening soon. It's not all bad though, as the smaller/thinner pucks will now be cheaper than $26! Yessss! The bigger/thicker ones will however be a little more.
When you think about the ultra slidiness of these pucks, and the mega long lastability (10x that of Loaded, Sector9 etc), and the super selection of custom sizes, they are terrific value for money, AND they are Australian made! Don't take our word for it though, ask some of Australia's top riders such as Jacko, Benbro, and Leigh. They all rock and roll with Slipperys and love them. I honestly wish I could give everyone a free set, just so they can enjoy the goodness of quality pucks. But that's not really viable haha. We will run comps every now and then though :)
Thanks sooo much to all you massive legends who have purchased Slippery Dips, and especially to those that bought a set in the early days before you even knew if they were good. You're all the coolest guys and girls.
Im so devo i got the 20mm, thought they would wear down to something more confortable but turns out they stay the same but with scratches.
I was pretty unsatisfied when i first got them and went SCBS with them because they kept gripping and getting dirty but turns out htey just needed to be broken in past the layer of film to the good slidey heaven locked within.
