I ride Mongo, I push off with my right foot and left foot on the board then jump on riding mongo, then I have trained myself to brake with my Left foot and right foot on the front of the board. So now I can brake with both feet but I am most confident Braking with my left at upto 60k's. I found the moment I stopped staring at my feet and just kept looking straight ahead I was much more stable!
yeah its tough to mongo foot brake, key is to move your back foot up a bit first, that way you dont get huge wobbles when ure standing right over the back truck, im still gettin it under control but i reckon im gonna start learning to use my right foot for braking, specially when i need to brake quickly and through lots of corners. cos its effing hard to keep moving all over the board and keep speed. it helps for pushin though, max acceleration!!!
i can footbrake okay...not amazing...the guy who use to own the best skate shop here in tassie is mongo and i watched him consistently footbrake at 60ish km/h...he's a freak though!
i learned to kludy brake to compensate...getting there slowly....
i can mongo footbrake up to 30km/h but everynow and then i stuff up and have to run it out. i cant footbrake regular.., ive tried it so many times but my left leg on the board just cant really support me in a stable way and i cant co ordinate my right foot for braking. but i can push regular lol
bowdich can. i saw him lay down some super sketchy but in control footbreaks down the hairy part of montacute rd...
im currently in the process of becoming a mongo pusher...
