I can push both ways its great if your pushing up hill ad your getting tired but i advise learning pushing normal and learning how to footbrake normal its alot easier than trying to footbrake monga.

ive been longboarding for about 9 months but i only just learnt to skate properly a ouple months ago caus i couldnt be stuffed trying to puch normal, but everyone says its better to push normal so i just constantly pushed normal. What also healpeed woulda been i ride to school and back everyday so i would be riding more than just the weekend

jasper you lucky bstard , im so mongo (monga) if i switch pushin feet i end up eatin shit , totally spastic hhahaha , am just learnin how to not freak when my slides go 180 and i gotta sk8 for a little switched, i gotta do the back to the future shit and try and remember how it was no problem going fakeys up and down a ramp (early 80's) , i guess those cats were right when they said dont eat out of aluminium i forgotten too much haha

i started mongo but after about 2 or 3 weeks of constant pushing and braking with my back foot i am now just as good with my back as my front

its hard to break old habits , im goofy , push with my front and foot break with it too , its a bugger moving my back foot up to compensate when breaking , scares the shit outta me lols

naturally push mongo, but have taught my self to be ambidextrous with the pushing, starting to prefer normal though, still footbrake mongo though.

and thats my life story...

After my first meet with people who knew what they where talking about, I was set straight about the mongo foot break.

I now do a combination.

I push Mongo, and may foot break that way if im going slow enough to push in the first place.

I now foot break normally. It really didn't take too long to feel much more solid.
