well i tried to find sharpies but apparently they only come in black. but if you can use multicoloured sharpies.
I used whiteboard markers, fabre caster textas and artline perm markers. You could even use pencil if you wanted.
Shading is the most efficent way of applying the colour because you dont get those lines from when you coloured. I did it for afew parts but for the larger areas it was a pain because i used whiteboard markers due to the area that it colour take up in hte time period.

Opinion : should i make it permanent by going over it with something like laquor? or leave and so the graphic slowly disappears and rubs all over my clothes when i carry it? or just completely rub it off with metho.
