ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Hey guys..... just a little heads up.
the Bretheron...A.K.A Bretho, run in Bulimba is attracting more people these days. I live about 20m away, and I skate it regularly, but a few things have been coming to my attention. One of the caretakers of the place has been telling me that there have been instances with skaters, leaving messes, being rude and abusive to the owners, and stupid things like that..... Remember guys, its their land, they can do what they like with it, make sure we treat the area and owners with respect, and they will reciprocate that respect...
thanks skaters

yeh, i was going to make the same kind of forum. except mine was gonna be made also for people to tell others when they are going. The bretho is a Brethren Carpark in Brisbane. It is built on the side of a hill, and is great for slides and just having fun. This Saturday we are going there at 2pm, if anyone wants to join us. if you dont know where it is , 0412163822 for details.

Yeah it's so important to have as close to zero impact with locals when you skate an area.
That's why we keep PumpStation a secret spot.
It only takes one dickhead who might not even be into skating that much to stuff it for everyone.

By zero impact I mean, leaving nothing behind after you at all. Rubbish, drift/slide marks on roads, jumps etc.
Give locals right of way if they wanna walk a footpath or road.
Avoid making loud noise like wooping, shouting and music if you're in a residential area.

I know this sounds uber gay but thats what it takes to keep your fave spots otherwise complaints will build up and the authorities will just shut it down and skaters get an even worse name.
it nothing much, 25kph hill with a couple of light posts,
its close to everyone though

That is exactly what I was wondering also. How do you wipe away drift marks?
yeah from what i know the caretakers are happy to see a bunch of kids out skating :)
Haha! To be honest I have no idea. When I used to go sliding with Josie Wales we'd leave blue krypto lines down until his neighbor down the road got the shits. I think it's just rain and cars rolling over them that wear em away.
Lesson learnt. "Don't shit in your own nest"
