That vid is fucking nuts, and no speed wobbles.
Dont think it was really that fast, they just had the cameras down low and if you ride your board correctly you shouldn't be getting speed wobbles anyhow.
the freeborders that come to dandy with us fly. I've got no clue what speed they're doing, i'd say 60? down inverness
How many of them are there in Vic?
Yeah they look like fun and I was going to buy one but then I realised you need a really steep hill to make them fun, just like a snowboard, they are no good on flat land like a longboard. You can't push like on a longboard cause they have bindings. And just like a snowboard you need to get back up that really steep hill to have fun again.

They would be good if a bunch of your friends had them and someone could take turns as the designated driver. I would imagine the wheels on the side would get shredded pretty fast too.Your constantly sliding them.

I would still love to try one though, but not going to fork out the 300+ for one. Reckon longboards are more bang for your buck in a relatively flat country.
there used to be a huge scene quite a few years back of guys who lived up dandy. It sort of died away because it was drugfuled fuckwittery. We had a good run up untill about 8 months back where there where 6 or 7 guys coming out once or twice a week. Right now there are 14 or so guys rideing, mainly younger guys who are about 15. I was one of the first guys in the seccond wave of the sport and taught just about everyone here to ride. I hardly ride the freebord anymore because i cant find any hills where i need it over a longboard or slide deck, though they are heaps of fun to ride on the street and have kicker sessions with.
In regards to what they are fun on, it depends, i used to ride it on anything and everything, from mini raps to comuteing and any hill i could find. Steeps are the best though.

Just a side note, freebord make the best freeride wheel i have ever ridden, its like a classic blue except the life is better out of them.
