okay because of the compression they can actually improve muscle recovery time, helping the micro tears heal quicker (very good as long as you are stretching after a session to make sure the fibres are mending flat not corrugated and forming scar tissue) I'll stop now as a sports therapist I would go on all night. In short yes they are good, bloody expensive just because they have "skins" written on them and yes search out cheaper alternatives.

I got my top for sunscreen protection, and more recentlt got some strides so I can use em for oz-tag on cold winter nights.
They do keep you warm but at the same time you get the occasional cold surge. It's weird. One minute you're warm then for just a brief moment you freeze then warm up again. They work extremely well at wicking away sweat which cools you down well in summer, but can be nasty when its cold. Once you get some more clothes on top they definately keep you warmer than without tights.
