ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Looking for a decent review on these wheels, looked all over silverfish and ASRA trying to find one but couldn't find anything. Any input would be appreciated.

I've been riding these wheels sinse newtons, and they were grippy as down mt panorama.
Then after wearing back the top layer (which took a while considering they're 78a) I found they slid beautifully yet gripped up very well allowing me to rail as if they were still new but throw them out and feel like butter. There is no iciness in the slide, and I don't particularly like them for standup slides but I love these wheels for fast freeriding.
Hope that helps

Sick, Cheers dude... I don't particularly like doing stand up slides that much so they will most likely be for bombing, predrifts and just hands down skids..

I'm the same bro... And these are what I've been using for it

I heard them described as "lumbering chunks of crap" and I tend to agree. Fast roll but not great acceleration and the slide felt horrible. Propbably a good race wheel, but I haven't used them for that so I can only comment on them for freeriding. Happy to do a swap if you're keen. They're mildly coned but otherwise good.

i have the the 69mm ones 78a and they are soooo good! slide well first slide!

they are a good wheel for fast mobing and hands down slides. not the best race wheel, seems just a little bit slower than other brands through corners, but the grip/slip ratio is pretty nice. they feel great to slide fresh, just hard to build up heaps of top speed on them i reckon. if your not racing though then they are a good option. best thing about S9 race forms thane is its bloody hard to flat spot, it wears down VERY evenly (unless of course your jamming slow standup slides)

yea and they dont wear down very fast, very durable! Thats also a positive about them!

Probably my favourite wheel out. a vid of me riding them: https://vimeo.com/35307730

ive had a few sets but in 70mm, i found them very grippy and they had a pretty decent roll speed, even when they are broken in you can still use them for tech dh because of the grip they have. i had a set and cored them but found i didnt like them much for standies because they were too grippy and i was only doing slowish standies

hope that helpsa bit
