Does anyone have any tips on reassembling bearings once you have completely stripped them down.
I can get them back together but there must be an easier way.

My tip.

Don't strip them down completely unless you need to replace the balls.

If both shields are off then that's good enough to clean em out.
sorry just replying to get it off the back page past the bullshit to see if anyone had an answer
I believe that is called a thread bump

Reassemble it on a towel. The fuzzy part of the towel can keep the balls raised as you push down on the inner and outer race
What sort of bearings are they? Why pull them apart?

Have you pulled them apart and you can not get them back together OR
Do you want to pull them all part?

We had a coastal longboarder bring in bearings to clean at the hopshop. After cleaning the cleaning liquid was filthy. Still no good. We pulled them apart and the balls had so much crap on them they were useless. If they are so bad you need to pull them down, maybe it is easier to buy a set of omni bearings for $20 or bones red bearings for $25
Or step up to the new Bones Super Reds
Or new to the Hopshop Bones CERAMIC Super Reds
Put one shield on.
Put the centre race in, with it on an angle so you can load the bearings.
when loaded, space the bearings evenly and put the nylon cage in.
You dont need inner shields, or need to remove the outer shield next time you clean.
I also use a tiny bit of grease.
Once it is squeezed out of the way of the bearings they run ok, and the grease seems to grab any dust that gets past the shield, which means a little bit more time between cleans.
