I have leathers with no further padding in the knees, elbows, etc. I was wondering if people had any good suggestions for low profile and very breathable pads which act like compression clothing. I've looked through various ones but I can't get a good idea of fit and bulkiness with some products ie. g-form pads, McDavids etc. Looking to get knee and padded shorts. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

Try one of those knee brace things. They might work.

Get some leathers with pads in them

these would work for what you want and more. i wore them for a while before they got too small (got the wrong size in the end). i didn't get them for under my leathers, but to help slow down joint deterioration in any skating. i do a lot of long distance "kick-push" and found that they not only supported the knee, but due to the warmth they produce within the knee joint, they made the movement of the joint incredibly smooth and painless.
i wore them under my knee pads to get the same effect and there was no problems there with size. so they should be fine under your leathers.

if its purely protection that you want, i would look at getting something with more solid padding. if you don't think you can fit low profile knee pads underneath, then maybe you need to think about getting some regular pads to fit over the top of them. if your that concerned about it that is.

maybe an idea to look at these i have heard great things about them, one of the guys i skated with used to ride them under his leathers

Thanks for the comments guys. Leigh I was looking for more impact protection but your suggestion has got me thinking about my joint health since I have pretty shoddy knees - will look at some knee braces at my chemist.

Tsg soft pads. Ask micheal English about them.
