ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

I'm not sure if this is the right thread to go on about production costs, but I thought I'd ask, either way.

For a research project, my girlfriend would like to know what the production cost would be for just a single wheel. More to the point, how much of a difference it is to build a higher duro wheel, compared to a softer one. I.E. Orangatang 4pres Oranges to 4pres yellows.

Any ideas/facts, people?

maybe worth getting in contact with http://www.aendindustries1.com/ about this, they manufacture for alot of the companies out there

I dont know exact prices, but I do know that such variables as duro and colour, do not affect the price of a wheel. In general it is cheaper to make a smaller wheel. Wheels with large cores are expensive to make, so thats why the big seismics or flywheels are so expensive (lots of urethane, lots of core)

Some wheel Brands own their own wheel factories, so their production costs are significantly lower than people that outscource, such as Abec 11, Seismic, Otang, Bennet, etc

You could try asking AEND, or even Abec 11 or Seismic, I bet you anything they wont answer your question.
