Police fine luger for riding slalom

Received my first ever fine for skating today from babinda police !
those that know where i live will have a good laugh ,( between the pub & servo )
i had just set up a new slalom board to test & being sunday & living in the middle of nowhere ,population 100 skaters 1
i desided to test it in the breakdown lane in town ( 1 pub , 1 servo & a post office ) yes it is a big town . next thing you know im getting run into the gutter with lights blazing
I was asked what i was doing ? i said skateboarding & told the officer that it was the only smooth road for 30km, she took my licence & backup was called ( yes 3 officers 2 cars ) lol
after 25 minutes of searching for something to fine me for , I informed them of the REC vehicle law they were looking for to save time . 2 minutes later i got my fine ( while trying not to laugh ) .
it seems that riding a slalom board is a dangerous crime in FNQ
? is it the wheelbase ?

You have to watch out for those outlaw slalom skater gangs these days lol

I was treeted in a wheelbasist way , they are usualy nice if i am downhilling or luging

What happened to the stereotypical country copper who knew everybody in town and was fairly lenient with fine upstanding local businessman like yourself?

Anyway, how was the new slalom board?

they replaced them with newbies out for there first bust .
the new deck was great , it just atracts to much attention !

haha so u had to tell them which law to fine u under
its been said previously
turn around and skate away, if u suddenly get full nelsoned into the gutter they've earned there paycheck,
stand up, shake their hand and accept the fine
hehe

because i kept laughing when they were telling me how dangerous it is to swerve on a skateboard . .

The law has a loophole in this case , skaters in Qld can ride the footpath ! on a road with no practicle
footpath the verge of the road is then classed as the footpath for pedestrians ? rec device !
it's down to the discression & sub amendment knowledge of the officer .
I am verry tempted to take it to court to clarrify what the law actualy is ?
It took 6 hours reading to find the government legislation & it is verry vaige .
they have fines in place but no actual gov legislation to justify them !!!!! lol
so as i said , it's tempting to go to court as it could prove fines to date in Aus to be illegal !
