hai guys
Im new to this site, and new-ish to long boarding (not riding them, building them) so ive jumped onto the hopkin web site to build my own setup.
Heres what i have:

Bear Grizzly 852s
Bones reds
Retro BigZigs 75mm
Holey 3/4" soft wedge riser
OMNI Drop 43

I like carving and downhill, and my budget has to be under $400. Will this setpu work? any suggestions/changes? anyone with second hand parts for cheaper?
thanks, Mitch.
EDIT: not actually looking to buy just yet, just want to get an idea of what kind of money im looking and burning ;)

get rid of the risers and you will have a wicked board. awesome price for an awesome setup.
as Jacko said can the risers ! Get omni bearings if you can (cheeper faster ) !! DO IT youll love it !!
Yeah the riser's are huge dude haha. BTW, that's not building a board, building is what Steve and Pete Hill do. That is just called ordering a complete setup.

I agree with Brad, the OMNI bearings feel the same, I can't tell much difference between all the cheaper bearings, so just get the OMNI ones and you'll save $15 or so. Spend the extra money in some sweet bushings. (If you ditch the risers and get OMNI bearings, you will nearly have enough for a full set of Reflex or Venom bushings all around)
I agree with jonty. Get better bushings. I find venom elims to work well with grizzlies. Well... the old grizzlies anyways. I dunno bout the new ones
i ride the board alot and ran it with a wedge taking turn out of the back origionally and it worked well, kinda like a evo feel to it, i wouldnt say not to get the riser, if you want to get a board that feels abit more like an evo etc then get the riser, cheap part no harm in it
no sean
