ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Peyragudes France- Louis Pilloni (USA) beat an incredibly tough international field to win the first IGSA World Cup of the 2009 season. Erik Lundberg (SWE) made his first appearance in a final since Australia in 2008 to earn second place and Martin Siegrist (SUI) finished third. Number one qualifier Mischo Erban (CAN) crashed and had to settle for fourth.

Yeah Grom, Ripping bro ! Good skating to everyone. Doing us proud !!! Go the Aussies !!!!
great news to hear before I go hit the hills.
well done guys.
Great results.
Aussies on the charge.
Congratulations on your efforts guys. Such a good turn out.

Point of interest.
It goes to show you don't need to be the fastest on the hill to get on the podium. With Mischo's crash, Erik was able to claim 2nd place overall.
His fastest qual' time of the day was more than 6.5sec slower than the quickest time set by Erban.

Can't wait to see the results tree.

james kelly, hes a freak with shit like that
yeah dude the race was so crazy, the boys from the US and canada are really showing a new level of racing here, busting massive clean slides into corners and sticking it, so crazy but so cool to skate with. Race day was pretty intense, had a heat with Leeso and Stephan Risch and some other dude, got down the hill first but unfortunately Leeso crashed in a corner and was bumped out, then made through round 2 and round 3 saw me with Christian Batt (some hectic fast dude from sweeden i think) and Mischo Erban. Was lucky enough to cross the line just before Christian to make it through to the semi's, which had Jo Jo Martienez (France, ripper qualified top 10) Martin Seigrist and Mischo, so my only option was to go balls out first into the massive hairpin and if scrub out just push, but unfortunately i scrubbed too much and tapped the hay, just fell off my board and the other 3 went passed, couldnt catch them. So that put me into the top 8 and i went into the consilation final, with James Kelly, Jo Jo and Sebastian, gnarly heat. I was out 2nd from the push behind James and he fumbled in the first corner (tiny corner, small but big mistake) and took everyone out, but unfortunately my board went off the road and i couldnt find it, so that was it, they all got on and raced to the bottom and i was left looking for my board in a ditch, shit happens but it was the raddest race ever... 5 more to go!
Im so rapt to see Ash there!
Good one guys. Well done Jacko,... a great result!

To all you Aussies>... show em how its done guys!
