Regrip the sides? There is no grip on the sides as far as I know.

Some sandpaper (or old griptape) can be used to sand down the existing grip so any new grip you apply will stick better. Preparation is always the key with this sort of thing. Make sure your surfaces are clean and free of dirt and dust and grease and moisture.

have you actually tried peeling it off?
often it removes no problem, sometimes heat also helps (to soften the bond) - leave in the sun (in a car,) or borrow a hair dryer...

Dunno Brad, Dervishes don't actually have griptape - just sharp glassy stuff coated straight onto the deck. Don't think you can peel it off - can only sand it down.

hi, i was gonna make a new thread but this one is kinda the same so ill ask here, my brother has some element grip he got from city beach in his room, should i just cut this up and put it on the dervish where i want it or is it worth the money to get jessup. thanks.

okay. i was just wondering whether the longboard specific grip was meant to be any better. but if its all jstu grip i wont bother buying jesup or viscious.

There is a BIG difference between Jessop (and other shortboard grip) and Viscious and the serious DH grip. Jessop would be quite good for a Dervish (unlike that Element crud).

i just bought my brothers element grip cause he didnt want it and it barely even sticked and couldnt deal with concave. fell off first time i tried a coleman.
