Hey guys, a quick google search returned that... seems too cheap to be true. But at the same time, both say: Meet Mandatory Product Safety Standards AUS/NZ 1698

What do you think? It's a fraction of the price of a "Longboarding DH helmet", as seen in skate shops...

They don't look too shabby at all.... For the price, that is extremely good. They look pretty decent and seem to have a fair amount of padding in them. Aerodynamics is what everyone looks for so they're probably not the go, but if you just want a cheap full face for bombing then that's the go. Nice find.
is your brain worth $30?
is your brain worth $440 when there are cheaper safer alternatives?

Price dont mean everything, those dont look bad...... you will be better off with a bell drop or something as motocross hemlets are abit heavy but hey, those will protect you in a crash just as well as the 130 full face i am using

they meet PRODUCT saftey standard but not dot or snell Not sure if it is even legal to use on the road for motorbike
It doesn't have the aussie standards sticker on it (the one with the ticks) and looks to not have much in the way of energy absorbing material but its hard to tell from the pics. It may be decent but in all likelyhood I'd say it isn't.
hese helmets are really heavy. they would be a pain in the ass to tuck in.
As long as they meet an Aussie standard for somesort of sport, I'd use one. But I would be checking the weight, I read 1kg on one of them I think. Have you compared that to the cheap fullfaces that the Aussie stores sell? I'd be happy to pay an extRa $60 for a helmet that was half the weight.
Thanks for the replies guys

yeah weight would be my main concern... What other store are you thinking about? skate / motorbike / moutain bike?
