freestyle and sliding decks

im am thinking of getting in to freestyle longboarding. at the moment i have a earthwing supermodel and its great for sliding and downhill but horrible at freestyle and anything other than sliding and downhill. so i am looking for a new deck which is good at sliding and freestyle. i weigh 65kg and im about 1.85m tall and will mostly be doing flip tricks and sliding. can anyone help me out?

i have been looking at the original apex 37 it looks pretty good sliding and freestyle.

and what does everyone think about the original trucks?

small minded grom. original is great,yeh i have busted wave cams, no big deal easy to maintain unless you aint real smart or just plain lazy. so many haters. will have a more honest opinion about the s8 trucks in a year but they have copped some serious abuse so far and are holding strong. the carbon 37 deck WELL its the DUCKS NUTS and i love it. try it for your self and you will smile. Groms might call me a fan boy but i also love my honey boards as well. maybe i just got the skills to the pay the bills. i hate daddow platypus, no i dont but p and h pull your head in or explain why it is so rubbish. aloha and skate every day

Any board slides. There is a massive aussie board market out there. 120y, dilligaf, early and glyde topmounts, fat pidgeon and skatement.
Just decide what length you want, type of concave, w cave, micro drop, drop thru, top mount. There is a board out there that will suit your style.

As with original, they are good for cruizing and yes, you can slide and freeride and downhill on the decks, its just that they tend to wear out much faster than better made decks. Personally i wouldn't buy original, but then again, i like to push my gear to the limit...
