but i would like help with this so please help

delete the other three copies of this thread please. also this topic has been talked about before. you just need to do a search to find the answers - http://www.skateboardracing.org.au/forum/topics/asra-newsletter
sorry, but forum sites can get very congested and confusing. so far ASRA has been pretty clean and organised, so try and help keep it that way.
also, post threads in the right categories. this one should be under "Two Cent's". not "Sites & Sessions", "Gear" and "Marketplace".

makes searching through the forums much easier.
gotta love the enthusiasm of guys new to longboards and downhill, i hope you guys are still around skating in years to come with the same level of enthusiasm, however sometime's a reality check should be made before posting eh? i have worked for fifteen years in printing, spent countless hours printing surfing life, freerider mx, various other fishing, boating and motoring publications, weather its a two page newsletter or 90 page magazine there is no such thing as cheap quality printing, good luck.
I'm not talking about a newsletter i am talking about a real magazine like concrete wave and other skate mags but this would be the frist ever Longboarding Magazine
i know its not cheep but if we get sponsors and ads in the mag and eveyone does it for free to start with, it can build up to a big mag thats sold all over the world

plus i am just spitballing to start with
but i would really like to do this
good luck with that dude. its not as simple as you think, but post your thoughts and ideas in the other thread which was started a few weeks ago - http://www.skateboardracing.org.au/forum/topics/asra-newsletter

oh and like pete said your enthusiasm is great.
yes but i don't want to make newsletter i would like to make a longboarding mag for the world
did you even read through that thread. the general conclusion you can gather, is that even a newsletter solely distributed around Australia is hard enough to get up and running, let alone a magazine made for the world. things like this need to start small, especially when there is little to no money involved.

unless you know something we don't, a magazine like that is pretty much impossible to do at this stage of the game.
