Hey guys i am wanting to get a 1 piece leather suit(2 piece is optional) as i am starting some Dh and feel that a suit is the way to go.
Also i had a pretty bad crash a couple of weeks ago (bad grazes) and the suit will prevent that from happening again. I have looked on Ebay and stuff but cant find anything (so please dont tell me to go look on ebay if you have a link or are selling one then please tell me) if you know a link or website that sells them second hand or new that would be great. Also any ideas about a good helmet would be much appreciated.
p.s. nothing really expenssive i dont have lots of money.
thanks
ok thanks

In brissy try hiside leathers they may do interstate deals too.
i dont know what could get me a good suit that wont fall apart if i fall. I am looking for something around $0-$350 but i dont have lots of money and dont have a job, yet should get one soon. If you know somewhere good to work i might look into it. (Not mc donalds or kfc for obvious reasons) also if you know a place where i can get a good helmet. I could get one fom cash converters but i dont know what to get ( like weight and shape)

What's your price limit?
your not going to get any leathers that are not going to fall appart if you fall.
Some types will last longer though.
If possible avoid ones with extrernal stiching on the seams. this is a week point as the stiches wear through and the seems pop open. you will find this is the syle for most cheep leathers as its the easiest way to make them.
lots of Ebay shops selling this style for under $350
You will need a needle thread, and duct tape to make continuose repairs with this type though as more often than not you will spit a seam when you come off.
Many have bought them and they have saved lots of skin, but they dont last and are only a stop gap measure befor buying a quality set ($550 Arctic Boys (Sidecar nic) Daz the cowboy has some new for around $550 also - through to $1000 and up such as NJK)
If you find a good second hand set good luck but the only way is constant checking of Ebay and Market place on here for second hand or doing some leg work checking out Motorcycle shops or cash converters who are going to be overpriced anyway.
if your just testing the waters to see if your into downhill then the cheep new ones may suit you for a while.
Always buy a helmet new- any of the shops too the right should sort you out or look at cycle shops selling mountain bike helmets.
If your not doing seriouse downhill you may find that a good set of pads, slidegloves and thick pants and shirt may do the job.
that would be good cos i have a bike and could use it for that aswell

thanks for the links. The custom ones would be good but need to spend some time messuring. Also the motorbike one is cheaper. what one would you recomend? i guess it really up to me but i would like and outside opinion.
Hey, so the motorcycle are fine as starter for lower racing and casual, so if you stack it's no biggy, and as well you grow so don't spend big bucks, but the long boarding ones should be a tighter fit and more aero but they will be slightly less protective, with the motocycle ones make sure to ask for the hump to be taken off
ok well i will get a motorbike one and what do you mean by hump?
