Hey Guys,

Im thinking about buying a Comet Vodoo D2, i will mainly be doing freeride and a bit of dh, i will set it up with Bear 852's and Yellow Stims along with my Yellow Inheats For Dh

What do you think about this board as a freeride?

get orange otangs if your gunna stick with them they are much better

have fun trying to grip with them at higher speeds...

the doll is a very different board though
I actually have a D2 at the moment, and I do exactly what your doing, maybe with a biit more dh. Its a really great board for both freeride and downhill.

I have never ridden a D2 but im sure its fine, but just have a look into a daddow 120y. Concave and drops and all round shape of the board is perfect for free riding and performs pretty well in the limited dh i do. I have yellow durians which have be conned to smaller then stims and feels nice during slides, so thos stims should be fine.

hope this helps

yeah if you got one you wouldnt be dissopionted. yes the 120y tappers down towards the end, and isnt the D2 semstrical which is better.
good idea mate, try some other boards aswell before you drop your cash.
im running my D2 uni-directional at the moment, with a shorter wheelbase and footstop etc. feels really nice for dh

Just Take care of your Voodoo if you get it, Comet only use environmentally safe and certified chemicals throughout the manufacturing process, the glue they press their decks with does NOT agree with some climates man, i live in the tropics and my D2 lasted 2 months before the plies started separating apart like they had magnets between them, its a great board but they are cheap for a reason brother

Well i live in Newcastle New South Wales.. I've been running my Doll for around 4 months its fine, I rekon they go good with a toestop because the concave isnt the best but i enjoy it for freeride and downhill but i reccommend Caliber Forty Fours instead of bears
I completely agree, have mine set up with caliber 44's and they feel the best out of all the trucks I've ridden.
